Eric Sneo Feat. Chris The Voice- Shut Up and Dance (Pleasurekraft Remix)

Umek’s label 1605 usually gives a banging techno sound, but this Pleasurekraft remix is a very groovy house cut.  Love the vocals and the build.  Hits a sweet spot between progressive, funky, and disco that works so well.

Exclusive Mix- Coach Roebuck

Coach Roebuck from New Jersey has provided the first exclusive mix for Ilhouze.com.  He is an established producer and DJ with over 70 tracks, remixes, and remixed tracks out on Beatport.  He features a hard disco style that gets the crowd moving, but can also bring it back down with some soulful and old school sounds. His bio is as follows:

It has been said that “Disco is back, and being done properly…” The fact is that Disco never died, it just went underground. Now there is a revival. Coach Roebuck takes credit for helping bringing Disco back into the light, in the form of house music.

Originally from the hills of West Virginia, the Coach was exposed to a wide variety of Disco, Funk, Pop, Rock and Mo-Town. His horizons began to broadened during college, in the form of attending warehouse parties, but only as a participant. A window of opportunity inspired Coach Roebuck to turn from building music software to producing music seriously in June 2004. As a means to help expose his music, the Coach became a DJ. Soon the Coach started to travel throughout the East Coast shamelessly promoting himself with inspiration. As word got out regionally, he started working parties both domestically and abroad, playing in warehouse parties, nightclubs, and music festivals, from Miami to Chicago, while building a small but very loyal following locally. Music lovers have been unable to resist boogying down to the Coach’s unique style of filtered disco house music.

Detox Recordings WMC party 2011, Miami FL.

Coach Roebuck’s resume consists of rocking parties in some of the most unlikely places, ranging from West Virginia, Arkansas, and Kansas, to as far away as St. Gallen, Switzerland and Fortuna, Costa Rica. As a producer, Coach Roebuck has done a range of remixes for Anything But Monday of Universal Music, for Captyn Zodiak of the Captyn Zodiak TV show, and a host of other Indie labels. His own music has been released on Nocturnal Recordings, Bid Muzik, Digital Vinyl Recordings, and several others. The game is only beginning. The future looks very promising for the Coach. If the Coach has his way, he may end up being the Head Coach of the disco house music of today.”

Here is his exclusive mix, a beautiful mixture of hard disco with some old school sounds thrown in at the end.

PornoStar Records- Sexy Miami Disco Stars Compilation Album

Every label is releasing their Winter Music Conference compilations around this time, and the PornoStar Records compilation is quite a treat. It is filled with upbeat disco/house tracks. Two of my favorites are Bounce by Supertons and It’s Alright by P&ME (Paperboy and Mike Even Club Mix). The whole album is available on Beatport for 11.99, much cheaper than buying each single. Pick It Up!

P&ME- It’s Alright (Paperboy and Mike Even Club Mix)

Fabian Argomedo- Mamboo (Jesus Soblechero Remix)

Fabian Argomedo out of Chile is a rising star on the tech/house/deep scene and Jesus Soblechero from Spain gives this track a nice funky bouncy remix. Big fan of both. NIce Work.

Disco Ball’z- Jegleas EP

Groovy new EP from Disco Ball’z out of Hungary. As you can probably tell, the EP is very disco house oriented, and it is quite good. My favorite track from the EP is the track Jegleas.

Available on Beatport and Juno.

John Acquaviva and DJ Tonio- Da Daddy

This new track from John Acquaviva and DJ Tonio feels part techno and part funky/disco.  Very cool track, thoroughly enjoyable to listen to and at the same time can be used by DJ’s of almost every type of venue.  Love the hard beat, electro sounds thrown in during slowdown in the middle, which is followed by an awesome rise, and of course the whole underlying melody. BAM! Sweet Track, will be using this one a lot.

Available on Beatport.

Fer Br- Feeling So Close

Fer Br delivers an awesome Tech House/Disco track here that is a great mix of tech house with a bit of bounce. 1605 Records has quickly become on of my favorite labels with excellent tech and techno from the likes of UMEK and Stefano Noferini, and this newest track keeps right on in that vibe. Looking forward to hearing this track dropped, as well as more from Fer Br and 1605 in the future. Available on Beatport.

Roter and Lewis- Work Me

BAM! Fun track from Germans Sebastian Roter and Dan Lewis on the excellent label PornoStar Records.  Jumping discoish house music that will definitely place nicely in your sets.  Features that jumping beat with good vocal sections splicing it up. Check these guys out at http://soundcloud.com/roter-lewis/sebastian-roter-dan-lewis-work-me.  Available on Beatport.

Some Funk for the Fall

Welcome all readers.  This first track is called Hey Baby and was made by my good friend Mike under the name N’cious and remixed by HMD.  It features a funky sound that is a bit sped up. You can check out more of his stuff at http://www.soundcloud.com/jinxloveinternionale
