Picks Of The Week 10-17-2013
Well ADE is upon us and, sadly once again, I’m not there. But, there is still great new music to had this time of year. This week I’ve gone with a little deep house, some melodic techno, and some jumpin funky house. Enjoy.
Luigi Madonna- From The Beginning (Techno)

D.M.P.- Inner City EP (Deep House). I love this EP because it reminds me of living in the big city, having a cocktail to unwind on a Friday night, looking at all the lights and people.

DJ Dan- Bangin On Ya (Phunk Investigation Remix)

Pick Of The Week: Disco Ball’z- Stayin’ In Love
Groovy house track here from Disco Ball’z from Hungary. Very classic, disco feel to it. If this is your genre, Disco Ball’z is definitely one artist to watch, with over 100 tracks out in the past year.

Pick Of The Week: Mike Vale feat. Stella Mercury- Don’t Give A Damn
Over the past couple of years Roger Sanchez’ Stealth Records has been a go to label for big room groovy house music. Mike Vale from Slovenia, who previously remixed Prok and Fitch’s house hit “Symphony” on Stealth, is back with a nice big room groover called “Don’t Give A Damn.” Good vocals and a nice catchy bass should have people moving in no time. Enjoy

Pick Of The Week: Supertons- F That Shit
The pick for this week comes from Supertons out of Serbia. They have finally released a track they put on Soundcloud over a year ago. “F That Shit,” out on Teddy Bear Records, is an energetic disco/house number that will have the crowd moving guaranteed.
Though I prefer the original mix, there are also excellent remixes as well from Kevin Prise, Grada, and Billy Sizemore.

Disco Ball’z- Don’t Stop
Sorry guys, been off the blog a while, but I’m back with a fresh goodie from Disco Ball’z out of Hungary. This appears on the label LadyMarySound’s Winter Music Conference sampler. Uplifting happy house track here that should have dancefloors grooving out from this rising star of the disco house scene.

Rubberteeth- Break Out EP
Super funky EP her from Rubberteeth out of Australia. Got that jackin funky disco inspired feel with good vocals layered over top. All three tracks are worth buying. Get on it!

Fabian Argomedo- The South Wind
My favorite Chilean producer is back at it again with “The South Wind.” It has a groovy deep disco feel to it that would go over in so many environments, from a disco house party to a lounge. Enjoy, and support this rising artist who has been making so much good stuff in the past few years.

Eric Sneo Feat. Chris The Voice- Shut Up and Dance (Pleasurekraft Remix)
Umek’s label 1605 usually gives a banging techno sound, but this Pleasurekraft remix is a very groovy house cut. Love the vocals and the build. Hits a sweet spot between progressive, funky, and disco that works so well.

Electric Soulside- Caliente (Sonny Fodera Remix)
Groovy house tune here from Electric Soulside and remixed by Australian Sonny Fodera. Fodera has been one of my favorite producers of late, making funky, jackin tunes with a good feel and lots of swing. This gem is no different, featuring fast beats infused with a latin sound. Exclusive Mix- DJ Jon Lockley
DJ Jon Lockley has given the second exclusive mix for ILHouze.com. A native of Georgia, Jon currently resides in Daegu, South Korea. Here is the biography from his site:
There are plenty of DJs in the industry who isolate themselves to one style whereas Jon Lockley has the ability to deliver sets from various genres. His original style and finesse behind the decks has been revolutionizing the elements of electronic music for over a decade. In his sets, Lockley flawlessly merges the sounds of bass heavy break beats with progressive melodic house so easily and so fluidly that his peers are left in awe. His unique style and immaculate technique places him in a category alongside the industry’s elite. Not only does he captivate crowds with his powerful sets, but he also lays down his own original production work to separate himself from the rest of the pack. His sets and his tracks achieve their goal — to make people dance. His passion for music certainly seems to be the key to his longevity. Having played at venues across the globe, his name has become synonymous with electronic music.
Jon has headlined with heavyweight electronic artists such as Steve Porter, Johnny Fiasco, DJ Icey, Phil K, Myagi, Magic Mike, Kimball Collins, and Michael Myers just to name a few. Not only does he captivate crowds with his powerful sets, he also lays down his own original productions which have found their way into the Top 100 at Beatport.com and Trackitdown.net.
Lockley has been on a production tear recently, releasing tracks and remixes on Visiomind and Kushtee record labels in the past three months and working with other SK based producers like Daniel Lyons and B. Jinx. He is a versatile DJ who can tech, house, and electro. Here is his exclusive Mix for ILhouze.com
